A two seat coupé with rear mounted motor & rear wheel drive. Used was the V8 motor from the Tipo 33/2 with 230 HP at 8.800 rpmU/min. The study is 4070 mm long, 1770 mm wide and only 1050 mm high.
Alfa Romeo prototype study Caimano.
A two seater coupé with front wheel drive and motor up front. Used was the 1.3 Litre 4 cylinder in-line motor with 86 HP at 5.800 rpm. The study is 3920 mm long, 1650 mm wide and 1090 mm high. The Caimano is now in the Alfa-Museum in Arese.
1976 New York Taxi
Alfa Romeo prototype of a New York taxi. A six seater bus with 4 doors, rear wheel drive and motor up front. Used was a 2 Litre, 4 cylinder in-line motor with 150 HP.
The study is only 4060 mm long, 1720 mm wide and 1780 mm high. Here was a car specially made for the then over filled streets of New York. The greatest value was placed on the functionality (also for the use of wheel chairs!) and the amount of space, with the smallest of overall measurements. This model is certainly the first of the "Space Wagons". This model is also in the Alfa-Museum in Arese.
A two seater Coupé with permanent 4 wheel drive and middle motor. The Bi-Turbo V6 motor with 3.0 Litres produce 400 HP at 7.500 rpm. To make sure that there was enough power, even in the lower revs, there was a compressor. That meant that the turbo got enough power & pressure when it was needed in the lower revs. With this wonder work the Scighera became a top speed of over 300 km/h or 186,5 mph and reaches 0 to 100 km/h or 62 mph in 3,8 secs.
